Carlito's Way

Carlito died having never reached his dreams of renting cars to tourists in the Barbados. Boarding the train to his new life... so close, when a kid from the bronx ended it all. What tough luck.

So then why is Carlito so at peace as his final minutes are upon him? He lay fatefully there without regret, as if a man who is exiting life with everything he ever wanted. But why we ask ourselves? All of the margaritas, sunshine, the fancy watches, sports cars and exotic adventures had been so abruptly taken away.

Roll the credits and cue Joe Cocker's classic ballad, it tell us everything... Carlito finally had the true riches of life and she held him close until death. Carlito was a very lucky man.
